two 2012 workshops announced : hello florida! |

i am so excited to announce my next two workshops on march 6-7 near sarasota, florida and march 19-20 in miami, florida. these will probably be the only group workshops that i will teach in 2012.
both workshops will follow the same format:
the first day will begin at 9am with a discussion on style - not just a philosophical discussion but i will show with examples of work throughout my career how my style changed and evolved since 2002. i will show how i learned to see and use light differently, how lens selection changed the look of my work, and how to gently direct your clients in different situations for optimal results. all of this discussion will be accompanied by images - even showing the same situation over and over throughout the years and how i approached them differently as my approach evolved. we will break for lunch around 1pm and begin back again at 2pm with a shooting session outdoors covering how to shoot in bright light, shade, and with flash outdoors. after the shooting session we will have dinner and then come back for a hands-on demonstration of workflow and processing. we will work until approx. 9pm and then break for the night.
the second day will also begin at 9am and go until approx. 1pm. day two covers business and marketing - and everything in between. from client care to inquiry emails, managing day-to-day work life and how to conduct a meeting, day two is all practical real-life business information.
the march 6-7, 2012 workshop is in beautiful lakewood ranch, florida. it is approx. fifteen minutes from the sarasota airport and about an hour from tampa. the workshop will be held in in a private neighborhood clubhouse. the march 19-20, 2012 workshop will be held in miami, florida. this workshop will be held in a wedding and cinematography studio right in the heart of miami.
registration is $950 for the first day, $450 for the second half day, and $1,350 for both days together. $450 is due to reserve your seat with the balance due two weeks prior to your chosen workshop. a light breakfast and a full lunch will be included in your registration fees for each day. each workshop will have no more than twenty attendees.

you also might have noticed that i haven't posted much work lately. that's because EVERYTHING here is getting a huge facelift in the coming months and i'm holding on to content to post when everything new goes live. in the meantime new work is constantly being added to the susan stripling facebook page so come on by and say hi while we clean house!
